Message From Our Founder, Nobel Winner Dr. Louis Ignarro
Early in the 20th century, Frederick Hopkins discovered that some diseases are caused by a lack of vitamins and taking increased dosages of these trace substance can alleviate the effects of vitamin deficiency. His discovery that vitamin deficiencies are precursors to the development of different diseases was the origin of modern disease prevention through health and wellness.
Hopkins was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1929 for the discovery of vitamins and their unique and vital role in maintaining good health. My work through HealthWell Ventures continues in the tradition of Hopkins by researching and developing nutritional supplements that can prevent disease through the promotion of health and wellness. I also won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, albeit nearly 70 years later, for the discovery of Nitric Oxide's unique role as a signaling molecule. Nitric Oxide (NO) is not a vitamin; it is a gas created naturally in your body from certain amino acids. NO can alleviate many different health problems ranging from cardiovascular disease to erectile dysfunction, as is being demonstrated repeatedly in research facilities around the world.
